A new collaboration between 4D ART and SAT is underway! The project aims to bring online a multiplatform version of the 4D ART SPACE, renamed 4D ART CAVERN.
At the core of this virtual gallery upgrade, the mediation process will be redesigned to place users at the heart of our artistic decisions, and to ensure that we offer them a fun and rewarding experience. This important aspect of the co-creation project between 4D ART and SAT will be accomplished with the help of ARTENSO and the CSSDM in the coming months.
Sisyphus, directed by and starring Victor Pilon, will have its world premiere at the 42nd edition of the International Festival of Films on Art. It is also the first film to be selected for both the national and international competitions in the festival's history. Coproduction 4D ART and Shoot Studio.
Artist Michel Lemieux's two latest art projects, 4D ART SPACE - a virtual art gallery, and Vulnerable - an interactive public art experience, are the result of a recent partnership between Canada's largest game studio, Behaviour Interactive, and 4D ART. The 4D ART Space and Vulnerable projects aim to forge links between the video game and multidisciplinary arts industries, and between neighboring Montreal organizations.
For the first time in its history, 4D Art will hold a free activity during this year's Journées de la culture. Come experience, alongside artist and director Michel Lemieux, his latest immersive digital creations (VR and 360-degree films) which have been shown around the world in numerous prestigious festivals.

After mesmerizing the public and being selected among the 10 best productions of the year by The Globe and Mail and the Montreal Gazette, the performance Sisyphus by artist Victor Pilon was awarded the Grand Prix of the Conseil des arts de Montréal. The marathon performance produced by Lemieux Pilon 4D Art won the Council's highest honor that recognizes the most outstanding artistic achievement of the year according to the jury.
Critically acclaimed, and inspiring hundreds of visitors on whom this work has left indelible marks, Victor Pilon's introspective and contemplative performance is in the running for the highest artistic honor given by the Conseil des arts de Montréal.

We are proud to join a selection of more than 40 XR works from around the world at the Bucheon Internation Fantastic Film Festival (BIFAN) in Bucheon, South Korea, as part of their BEYOND REALITY section. The festival takes place July 1 to 18.

This evening, Michel Lemieux, Victor Pilon, Michel Marc Bouchard and Martin Laviolette unveiled four new Cité Mémoire tableaux presented by BMO in collaboration with the Society for the Celebration of Montréal’s 375th Anniversary.
Cité Mémoire’s Grand Tableau (Champ-de-Mars)
Cité Mémoire’s Grand Tableau provides an overview of more than 375 years of Montréal’s history, using music and images projected onto the imposing walls of the Montréal Courthouse. This 35-minute tableau will be projected at set times, available with surround sound.
The three other tableaux are inspired by key figures who lived through significant events in Montréal’s history.

Montreal, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 – Starting tonight, Cité Mémoire, created by Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon, in collaboration with Michel Marc Bouchard, will come to life every night throughout Old Montreal and the Old Port of Montreal. Loosely inspired by the figures and events that have marked the city’s history, Cité Mémoire offers a poetic, dreamlike and occasionally playful look at Montreal. Some 20 tableaux (19 in 2016, and 4 in 2017, to mark the city’s 375th anniversary), composed of images, dialogue and music, are projected on the walls, in the alleys, on the ground and on the trees of the historic quarter.
The soft opening of TORUK, the first flight, the very last creation of Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon with the Cirque du Soleil, will be presented next Thursday, November 12th, in Bossier, Louisiana.
Lemieux Pilon 4D Art won the 30th Grand Prix of the Conseil des arts de Montréal. To mark this 30th edition, the Conseil awarded the company the sum of $30,000! The jury described these artists as ambassadors reflecting Montreal’s artistic growth and vitality.

On March 23rd, Michel Lemieux and Victor Pilon were touched to receive the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec, a special distinction from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) dedicated to artists who have outstandingly contributed to the growth of Quebec’s artistic landscape.
They were part of the first 35 personnalities honored by the newly created Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec for their lifetime contribution to Quebec culture.
Upon receiving the Ordre des arts et des lettres du Québec, each artist was given an insigna created by the artist Christine Dwane.
