Forest Within is an immersive installation by Michel Lemieux that invites us to look with sensitivity at the future of forests and, by extension, at the future of humanity itself. Like a forest, the work sends its roots down into the intimate in order to reach the universal.

Speaking in confidence, in an almost whispered closeness, many voices rise: people of different genders and different cultures share their most heartfelt worries with us, but also their most stubborn hopes. They speak to us about the future of their families, about humanity as a whole, and about the fragile environment that sustains us all.

Through these interwoven testimonies, Forest Within becomes a space of resonance where anxiety about tomorrow sits alongside a glimmer of hope — a reminder that our fates, like the trees of a single forest, are deeply rooted in one another.
