Forest Within is an immersive installation by Michel Lemieux, inviting us to cast a sensitive gaze upon the future of forests and, by extension, upon the future of humanity as a whole. Like a forest itself, the work sends its roots into the intimate to better reach the universal.

In a tone of confidence, in a closeness that feels almost whispered, multiple voices rise: people of different genders and cultures share with us their most sincere worries, but also their most tenacious hopes. They speak to us of the future of their families, of humanity as a whole, and of this fragile environment that carries us all.

Through these interwoven testimonies, Forest Within becomes a space of resonance where anxiety about tomorrow meets a glimmer of hope, a reminder that our destinies, like the trees of a single forest, are deeply rooted in one another.
